When will the app be released?
We are still building, and we would rather get it right than rush it out. The waitlist is how you find out first: everyone on it hears from us before we announce anywhere else, and early members get first access when we open the doors.
Is this only for South Asian singles?
Hum is built with the South Asian community in mind, from the way profiles are put together to the things we know come up for our families. Everyone who is 18 or older is welcome to join, whether you are South Asian, dating within the community, or simply looking for something more thoughtful than what is out there.
What makes Hum different?
Most apps ask you to decide about someone from one photo. Hum is built around Storyboards: a set of moments that show who you actually are, not just how you photograph. You get a sense of a person before you swipe, which means fewer matches that go nowhere and more conversations worth having.
Do you offer any other services?
Yes. Alongside the app we offer a small set of paid, human-led services for people who want more hands-on help: personalized matchmaking, one-on-one dating coaching, and Storyboard reviews. They are completely optional, and Hum works exactly the same whether you use them or not. See our guided services.
